WHAT IS A THREAD LIFT?

A thread face-lift is a convenient, less invasive alternative to traditional face-lifts, designed for people experiencing early signs of aging, such as minor facial sagging. With a thread lift sutures are placed under the skin to lift the skin and underlying muscle. the procedure can be performed in just one or two hours, often without anaesthesia. the threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face. What can patients expect?

The treatment is relatively pain free, due to the deep insertion of the needles and working in the dermis of the skin. Also, there is no down-time after the procedure, with bruising and swelling only being present in a few cases which may last a couple of days. To alleviate any discomfort a topical anesthetist can be applied and massaged into the treated area, and the entire treatment takes between 15 – 45 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.
